The Malecon cocktail is named after the El Malecon, a roadway and seawall along the coast of Havana, Cuba.

Inspired by the seawall on his trip to Havana, El Malecón was Erik Lorincz’s entry in the Bacardi Legacy 2007 Competition before he joined the American Bar at the Savoy Hotel in 2010.
