Fish House Punch
Fish House Punch is believed to have originated back in 1732 at Philadelphia’s fishing and social club called the Schuylkill Fishing Company, also known as the State in Schuylkill.
This was a group of high-society people who celebrated their mastering of fishing on the Schuylkill River by mixing up a punch.
The name probably comes from the Hindi word panj which means “five”, and references the number of ingredients in a standard Punch recipe.
Traditionally, the Fish House Punch cocktail should be served in a large punch bowl with a big chunk of ice.
