Grasshopper
Grasshopper cocktail was created at Tujague’s, the restaurant is located in America’s oldest neighbourhood, French Quarter in New Orleans, and is the second oldest restaurant in town.
Tujague’s opened doors in 1856 by Guillaume Tujague and is known for some of its signature cocktails introduced to the world.
The name of the drink derives from its green colour, which comes from crème de menthe and makes it look like a grasshopper colour.
This cocktail is also recognized by the International Bartender Association as a “Contemporary Classic Cocktail”.
