Raw material: Juniper, almond, allspice, cloves, liquorice, ginger, common vervain, angelica, grains of paradise, scarlet monarda, mint, honey pomelo, blackberry, true sage, rosehip, nutmeg, lavender, marshmallow, spruce shoots, elderberry, English hawthorn, orange, Acacia flowers, jasmine, camomile, abelmoschus, and coriander… (known botanicals)

Monkey 47 was originally created by Montgomery “Monty” Collins, a British officer of the Royal Air Force who grew up in India and settled in Germany.

 

The gin is produced from the Black Forest in Germany which is an area that has always been known for distilling fruit liquors and brandies.

 

Monkey 47 gin takes its name from the 47 botanicals that are used to make it, hence the result of a combination of the distinctive spices and flavour.
