Mandarin-Citron
Mandarin-Citron or Picon-Citron is a cocktail from the classic film “Marius”, a French drama from 1931.
The cocktail is marked for the famous scene between Raimu (playing as Cesar Oliver) and Pierre Fresnay (as Marius) remembered as “the glass of four thirds”.
In the scene, Raimu prepares a cocktail calling for “a small third of Curaçao, a third of lemon, a good third of Picon, and a big third of water”.
Obviously, the recipe couldn’t get it right so I adapted to my taste. However, is notable how recipes can be remembered more than 90 later.
