Dolin Vermouth

The famed Vermouth de Chambéry was created by Joseph Chavasse in 1821.

Joseph always had a great affinity for distillation. Inspired by the liquors produced by the monks at the nearby Grande Chartreuse monastery, and visits to Turin where he discovered Vermouth, he invented what it would become Dolin.

After Joseph Chavasse’s death, his daughter Marie married Louis-Ferdinand Dolin, who acquired the company in 1852 and gave it his name associated.

The company comes to be sold in 1919 to the Sevez family and continues the original recipes from the early 19th century to these days.
