Quinta Do Vallado Port
Quinta do Vallado was established in 1716 by Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira. The business is still managed by the family and is one of the oldest and famous properties in the Douro Valley.
Quinta do Vallado owns another vineyard, Quinta do Orgal, which is located in Douro Superior.
Vintage Ports
Vintage Port represents the very best produce of a single outstanding year. It remains in the vat for only about two years and then ages in bottle. Vintage Ports will continue to age and improve in bottle for decades.
Vintage Port 2017
Country: Peso da Régua, Portugal
Raw material: Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, and Touriga Nacional
Alcohol: 20%
Vintage Port is a specific style of Ruby Port which is made only in exceptional years and from the ripest grapes.
Vintage Port 2017 is produced in the most traditional way, where the grapes are fermented for four days, in mills, with traditional periodic foot treading.
Blended with old vines with a mixture of various grape varieties, and ages for 20 months in stainless steel vats.
Vintage Port 2017 is capable of maturing in bottle.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Deep ruby
Aroma: Intense aromas of dark fruits
Taste: Full-bodied with ripe and soft tannins, with an excellent structure and complexity
Full-Bodied & Fruity Ports
Full-bodied and fruity Ports are aged for a relatively short time, between two to three years, in large oak vats. General higher quality wines are aged for slightly longer between four and six years.
Late Bottled Vintage 2014

Quinta do Vallado Late-Bottled Vintage was developed to satisfy the demand for high-quality Port ready to drink alternative to Vintage Port.
The ageing process is split between 20% aged for 3 years in a ton, the remaining 80% in stainless steel vats.
Late Bottled Vintage 2014 is age entirely in cask or vat and are ready to drink when they are bottled.

Aroma: Elegant and intense black fruits with some spicy notes
Taste: Black fruits, cherry, very ripe and soft tannins
Rich & Mellow Ports
Rich and mellow tawny Ports are aged for longer periods in small oak casks. The relatively small volume of wine compared to the surface area of the vessel increases the contact with the wood.
Tawny Reserva
Country: Peso da Régua, Portugal
Raw material: Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Touriga Franca, and Touriga Nacional
Alcohol: 19.5%
Quinta do Vallado Tawny Reserve is drawn from wines selected individual, these are aged for an average of six years in oak casks to reach their smoothness and mellow character in Quinta do Vallado cellars, and then blended for a few months before bottling for balance and completeness.

White Ports are made from traditional white grapes from Douro region and are usually aged for two or three years in large oak vats.
Vallado White Port

Alcohol: 19.5%
Quinta do Vallado White Port is produced following the traditional Port Wine method.
After fermentation in an ‘Open Spout’ system for about 20 days, it ages for 3 years in stainless steel vats.
Vallado White Port age entirely in cask or vat and are ready to drink when they are bottled.

Aroma: Very fresh and intense aroma, with a predominance of floral tones and citrus fruits
Taste: Very intense flavour of candied oranges, with a long and delicate finish
