Since 1987, Thomas E. Bulleit Jr. started the Bulleit Distilling Company inspired by his great-great-grandfather Augustus Bulleit, who made a high-rye whiskey between 1830-1860.

The subtlety and complexity of Bulleit Bourbon come from its unique blend of 68% corn, 28% rye, 4% malted barley along with special strains of yeast and pure Kentucky limestone-filtered water, while charred American oak barrels lend a smoky backbone.
