Glenlivet was the first licensed distillery in the remote and isolated Livet valley of Scotland, being granted in 1824 by George Smith

The Glenlivet 12 Years Old was introduced in 1933 just after Prohibition ended. Is a classic malt using mineral-rich water that comes from Josie’s Well helps form the flavours during mashing and fermentation, distilled in very height and width copper stills, and first matured in traditional oak, before spending time in American oak casks for the character and complexity.
