John “Johnnie” Walker started selling whiskey from his grocery shop in Ayrshire in 1820. However, at a very local level because blended whiskey would only become legalized in 1860.

 

Many elements shape the final flavour and character of a whisky. Its all starts with the cereal being barley or grain which is malted, and when is ready peat is added sometimes to at the drying stage. The dried cereal is then ground in a mill for fermentation.

 

Johnnie Walker Black Label is the most popular of all range, a combination of Scotland’s rarest and most exceptional whiskies with the youngest being 12 years old.
