WhistlePig distillery was established in 2007 in Vermont region.

 

PiggyBack Rye was released in the summer of 2018 by Dave Pickerell who was dedicated to creating the best rye whiskey for use in the world’s best cocktails.

 

Made of a mash bill of 100% rye, these raw material offers more spice and less sweetness than any other grain, with citrus, herbal and spice notes.

 

The whiskey is then aged not less than six years in Vermont Oak Barrels made from trees harvested directly from our farm and the surrounding area.

 

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Fresh cinnamon, black peppercorn, a hint of tangerine and grapefruit zest

Taste: Powerfully spicy, with cocoa, cardamom and cured leather flavours
