Yoichi Single Malt is produced in Nikka’s first distillery built-in 1934 by the founder Masataka Taketsuru in Yoichi.

 

The distillery is located in similar environmental conditions to Scotland, where he learned whisky making.

 

Yoichi Single Malt is made from a traditional direct coal-fired distillation.

 

Tasting Notes

Colour: Gold

Aroma: Vanilla, pepper and peat

Taste: Bold and strong, and a pleasant smokiness.
