Amarosa
The Amarosa cocktail is published in William J. Tarling’s 1937 Café Royal Cocktail Book where is mentioned to be invented by H. Losappio.
A twist on the classic Negroni, the Amarosa cocktail replaces the sweet vermouth with kirschwasser.
The original recipe also calls for Amaro Cora which is really hard to find now. Production stopped decades ago, and savvy collectors have been stashing bottles at the back of liquor cabinets for safekeeping.
