Cardhu comes from one of the oldest of the Speyside distilleries. The story starts back in 1811 when John Cummings and his wife Helen took over the lease of Cardhu farm. They found an illicit distillery and licensed Cardhu in 1824.

 

Gold Reserve is the entry-level whiskey range with no age statement but at least 3 years which is required by law.

 

Tasting Notes

Colour: Golden

Aroma: Toffee and apple notes

Taste: Balanced sweet fruit, dark chocolate, toffee, oaky, and a hint of cinnamon
