Carpano

Carpano was founded by Antonio Benedetto Carpano, the inventor of Vermouth, in 1786 in Turin, Italy.

Its original and distinctive recipe remains intact today thanks to Fratelli Branca Distillerie, who acquired Carpano in 2001.

Antica Formula

Raw material: Grapes, and a selection of botanicals including vanilla, saffron, and wormwood

Antica Formula was created by Antonio Benedetto Carpano in 1786 in Turin, Italy.

 

Blend of white wines from selected Italian grape varieties from the Romagna, Puglia and Sicily regions, and processed within 24 hours.

 

The label is a reproduction of the original label designed in 1786.

 

Tasting Notes

Colour: Bright amaranth

Aroma: Elegant bouquet of vanilla with spicy, citrusy and dried fruit notes of almond, raisins and cloves

Taste: Rich and structured, with vanilla notes, prized saffron, citrus fruits, dried raisins, cloves and saffron flavours

 

Punt e Mes

Alcohol: 16%

 

Punt e Mes is a Vermouth combining dry white wine flavoured with aromatic herbs and spices, from the Carpano range, which was born back in 1870 in the ancient Carpano liquor shop in Piazza Castello, Turin.

 

Punt E Mes translates to “one and a half points”, coming from a stockbroker that ordered the usual Carpano (Punt), but corrected with half a dose of bitter (e Mes) using a dialect expression “Punt and Mes”.

Botanic Bitter

Carpano Botanic Bitter

Country: Milan, Italy

Raw material: Grapes, cinchona, saffron, gentian, bitter orange peel, fresh orange green peel, myrrh, rhubarb, wormwood, sandal, and zedoaria

Alcohol: 25%

 

Carpano Botanic Bitter is the product of ten aromatic herbs that are infused with dry white wine in the traditional methods.
