Country: Jalisco, Mexico

Raw material: Blue Weber Tequila

Alcohol: 40%

NOM: 1103

Hand-craft and distilled of 100% blue agave in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. The word Corazón means “heart” in Spanish. It refers to the piña or “heart” of each agave plant in which tequila is made.

It takes about 7-10 years for the agave to ripen to perfection and harvested by the Jimador. Once in the distillery, the agave is baked in the clay ovens for 48 hours at 90ºC of temperature (194ºF).

The cooked agaves are taken to the milling area and crushed to separate the juices from the fibers and poured into fermentation tanks where it remains for 72 hours until it ferments into alcohol with help of yeast.

Corazón Tequila is double-distilled slowly at a very low temperature and finally aged in the finest American Oak barrels before bottling.
