Corpse Reviver No.2
In the 19th century, it was common for a bar to offer their own “reviver” formula as a morning cocktail.
Some Corpse Reviver cocktail recipes have been lost to time, but the most popular recipe is from the Savoy Hotel. Published in Harry Craddock’s 1930 The Savoy Cocktail Book, the recipe consists in equal parts of gin, lemon juice, Cointreau, kina Lillet, and absinthe.
Harry also writes “Four of these taken in swift succession will unrevive the corpse again”.
