Dalwhinnie Distillery was built in 1898 and stands in the Cairngorm National Park at the heart of the Scottish Highlands in the village of Dalwhinnie.

 

Dalwhinnie is the Gaelic for “Plain of Meetings” and is named for its location at a junction of old drove roads, between two mountain ranges.

 

Dalwhinnie Winter Gold is the entry-level whiskey from the range and has no age statement.

 

Tasting Notes

Colour: Gold

Aroma: Smooth fragrant of fruit, caramel, apricot, orange zest, and modest smoky note.

Taste: Rich textured with a balancing ripe autumn-fruit tartness, smoothly honeyed, growing spicy, with gingerbread
