Glendalough Gin

Wild Botanical

Country: County Wicklow, Ireland

Raw material: Juniper berries, coriander seeds, and a selection of wild botanicals

Alcohol: 41%

The Glendalough Distillery was set up by a group of friends with a passion for reviving the heritage of craft distilling in Ireland.

Glendalough is a glacial valley in County Wicklow, renowned for an Early Medieval monastic settlement founded in the 6th century by St Kevin.

The gin is made out of wild plants from the mountains around the distillery. What’s picked goes fresh into the still within hours.

The botanicals are slow-distilled to release out delicate flavours in tiny batches. The cut-points are decided batch by batch, by smell and taste (never timed or automated) as if each batch is the first.
