Jack Daniel’s

Old Nº7

Country: Lynchburg, USA

Region: Tennessee

Style: Tennessee

Raw material: Corn, rye, and barley

Alcohol: 40%

The Jack Daniel Distillery is officially established in 1866, making it the very first registered distillery within the US.

Jasper Newton Daniel, more commonly known as Jack, introduces the world his signature Lincoln County Process, a charcoal mellowing where the new-make whiskey trickles during 3-5 days through handcrafted charcoal before entering the barrels for ageing.

It’s this extra step that makes Jack Daniels a Tennessee whiskey and not a Bourbon whiskey.

The ‘Old Nº7’ is mellowed drop by drop through 10-feet (3 meters) of sugar maple charcoal, then matured in handcrafted barrels of our own making. Judged by the way it looks, it’s only ready when the Master Distiller says it is.
