Kelt Cognac

V.S.O.P.

Country: Cognac, France

Raw material: Ugni Blanc

Alcohol: 40%

Kelt Cognac was established in 1987 by Estonian-born Swedish entrepreneur Olev Kelt.

Produced purely from Ugni Blanc grapes grown in Grande Champagne, and aged in Limousin oak barrels.

Until the early 1900s, all cognac was shipped in barrels. The long sea-voyages with a combination of movement, temperature variations, air pressure changes, had a profound effect on the quality of the cognac.

When cognac started to be shipped in bottles the magical effect was lost. However, Kelt cognac, still in Limousin oak barrels, undertakes a 3-month sea voyage around the world to revive those characteristics from the past.

Kelt V.S.O.P. is made under the traditional method. This spirit is gently double-matured, first in traditional style for many years and second embarks on its unique voyage for 3 months, before returning to France for bottling.
