Kilchoman distillery was founded in 2005 by Anthony Wills. Kilchoman is Islay’s only farm distillery, producing completely on-site – from barley to bottle – and one of the few whisky distilleries in Scotland to remain independent.

 

Machir Bay is a peated single malt, matured in both bourbon and sherry casks. Named after Islay’s beach.

 

Tasting Notes

Colour: Golden

Aroma: Lemon zest, vanilla, maritime notes, floral intensity, juicy peaches, pears, and rich spices

Taste: Citrus fruit, layered vanilla, warming smoke,  and butterscotch sweetness.
