Laphroaig distillery was founded in 1815 by Donald and Alexander Johnston on the island’s south coast.

 

Laphroaig 10 Year Old is the original Laphroaig as when Ian Hunter invented it more than 75 years ago. Is made from malted barley dried over a peat fire, giving Laphroaig its particularly rich flavour.

 

Tasting Notes

Colour: Light amber

Aroma: Earthy, smoky, and maritime aromas

Taste: Bold, smoky taste, followed by a hint of seaweed and a surprising sweetness.
