Founded by Fred van Zuidam in 1975. The growing reputation of the brand reached the position as the finest distillery in the Netherlands.

These days both sons Patrick and Gilbert run the 3600 square meters distillery and 4 production lines under the watchful eyes of their parents. All recipes are designed by father Fred and son Patrick van Zuidam.

The name Millstone refers to the Dutch mills that grind the grain that is used for the whiskey.

Millstone 5 Years Old was first launched in 2007 and is an entry-level malt whiskey, matured in both new and used American oak barrels.
