Scarlett O'Hara
Scarlett O’Hara is a cocktail that helped promote Southern Comfort based on the fictional character with the same name. She is the protagonist in Margaret Mitchell’s novel 1936 and 1939 “Gone With The Wind”, where is portrayed by Vivien Leigh.
The cocktail can be found on Oscar Haimo’s 1943 Cocktail Digest, where he calls for lime juice, grenadine syrup and Southern Comfort. However, early versions are made with cranberry juice instead of grenadine giving a more tangy flavour.
