Shirley Temple

Shirley Temple cocktail is one of the most popular non-alcoholic cocktails named after one of the biggest child stars in history.

When she was only 6 years old, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences presented Temple with the first Juvenile Academy Award in grateful recognition of her outstanding contribution to screen entertainment during the year 1934, particularly “Little Miss Marker” and “Bright Eyes”.

This mocktail is said to have been created so that she would have something to drink when out with the adult Hollywood stars.

Now, a modern version is using Sprite instead of the original recipe which calls for Ginger Ale.
