Singapore Sling
Singapore Sling cocktail was created in the early 1900s by a bartender called Ngiam Tong Boon at the luxury Long Bar in Raffles Hotel, Singapore.
The original recipe called for a combination of gin, cherry brandy, Cointreau liqueur, Benedictine, pineapple juice, lime juice, grenadine, and bitters.
However, there’s a second recipe for the Singapore Sling that comes in Harry Craddock’s 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book, applying simply for gin, cherry brandy, lemon juice, and club soda.
