Spicy Fifty
Spicy Fifty is a cocktail created in 2004/5 by Salvatore Calabrese for his bar Fifty in London, England. The bar opened doors in February 2005 with this cocktail being a signature drink on the first menu.
In Salvatore 2015 Classic Cocktails, he describes it as one of these best-selling cocktails and a modern classic in its own rights.
Salvatore says his recipe was influenced by dishes on a menu by Michelin-starred chef Jean-George Vongerichten in which chilli was a predominant ingredient.
The Spicy Fifty is recognized as a New Era Drinks by the International Bartenders Association.
