Tommy's Margarita

The cocktail was created in circa 1987 or 88 by Julio Bermejo at Tommy’s Restaurant, his family’s Mexican Restaurant & Bar in San Francisco.

Tomas and Elmy Bermejo opened Tommy’s Restaurant in 1965 and Julio who is one of their five children has become a legend in the drinks industry because of Tommy’s Margarita cocktail and his knowledge about tequila.

This variant of the popular classic Margarita cocktail replaces the Cointreau liqueur for agave syrup, highlighting its origin.

Tommy’s Margarita is recognized by the International Bartenders Association as a New Era Drinks.
