Twelve Miles Out
The Twelve Miles Out cocktail is one more creation of Harry Craddock. The cocktail appears in his 1930 The Savoy Cocktail Book and also in William J. Tarling’s 1937 Café Royal Cocktail Book.
The Twelve Miles Out is a classic cocktail with three straight-forward ingredients, where Craddock gives instruction to shake the cocktail. However, that breaks the consistency of the liquid. A long stir in the mixing glass keeps the flavours and texture compact and also allows dilution.
