W & J Graham's Port
William & John Graham’s story starts in 1820 and was one of the first Port companies to invest in its own vineyards in Portugal’s Douro Valley in 1890.
Graham’s has been an independent family business renowned for producing the finest Port wines, which are made by adding a proportion of grape spirit, or brandy, to the wine before the wine has finished fermenting.
Today, Graham’s is owned and managed by the fourth generation of the Symington family.
Graham’s owns five mountainous vineyards, which are located in different parts of the best wine-growing areas of the Douro region: Quinta dos Malvedos, Quinta das Lages, Quinta do Vale de Malhadas, Quinta da Vila Velha, Quinta do Tua.
Vintage Ports
Vintage Port represents the very best produce of a single outstanding year. It remains in the vat for only about two years and then ages in bottle. Vintage Ports will continue to age and improve in bottle for decades.
Quinta dos Malvedos Vintage Port 2004
Country: Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal
Raw material: Tinta Cão, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Barroca
Alcohol: 20%
Malvedos vineyard has an extraordinary quality of wines. In most interim years, the wines from Malvedos merit bottling as a Single Quinta Vintage Port.
Graham’s Malvedos Vintage Port has won an astonishing collection of 14 gold medals over the last two decades at the world’s major international wine competitions.
According to the official source, 2004 was an unusual Vintage. The rain in early August was incredibly important, as was the perfect weather throughout the picking. These two key factors allowed some excellent Vintage Ports to be produced.

Crusted Port 2011
Country: Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal
Raw material: Tinta Barroca, Touriga Nacional, and Touriga Franca
Alcohol: 20%
Graham’s Crusted Port is a blend of young Ports from two or three different vineyards and harvests, matured for up to two years in oak casks and bottled without fining or filtration. Once bottled, the wine is aged for a minimum of three years in the cool of Graham’s cellars.
The name Crusted Port comes from the fact that, like Vintage Port, it is unfiltered and will throw natural sediment, or “crust”, as it ages.
As a blend of different vintages, the date featured on the label is the date of bottling, not the harvest date.
Crusted Port 2011 is capable of maturing in bottle.
