The tradition of Żubrówka production dates back to the 16th century. It was then that a unique recipe for vodka made on the basis of pouring on bison grass was created.

 

For the production of Żubrówka, grass that grows wild in the Białowieża Primeval Forest is used. It is harvested by hand and only once a year – in early summer, when it is at its most aromatic.

 

Then the stalks are sorted and dried in the sun. Thanks to the natural treatment, the grass retains its unique properties, which give the vodka it produces a unique color, taste and aroma.
